Treasurer discusses property taxes for People's Law College

The Public Services Committee of the Oakland County Bar Association (OCBA) presented The People’s Law College on Tuesday, Jan. 24, at the Oakland County Law Library in Pontiac.

Oakland County Treasurer Andy Meisner (right) spoke on the topic of “Property Taxes - What to Do if You Cannot Pay?” at the first of the People’s Law College seminar series.

He provided an overview on the delinquent property tax timeline along with information and tips on what steps to take to help save a home.

Welcoming Meisner to the program was Southfield attorney Sayeda Davidson.

Members of the public are invited to attend the free People’s Law School seminars.

The next program will take a look at “Credit Reporting” on Tuesday, Feb. 28.

To register or for additional information, call the OCBA at (248) 334-3400.
