Free seminar presented by Probate Court, Oct. 23

On Tuesday, Oct. 23, the Oakland County Probate Court will conduct a free seminar titled "Removing the Mysteries of Probate Court" at the Highland Township Senior Center from 10 a.m. to noon. This program is designed to enlighten and educate senior citizens and their families so that they may make informed decisions regarding their estate planning and understand the probate process. The Highland Township Senior Center is located at 209 North John Street in Highland. The seminar will provide attendees with information on wills, trusts, Powers of Attorney, how to begin probate proceedings, when to consider use of guardianships and conservatorships and how "avoiding probate" could cause more harm than good.
