State high court makes appointment to Attorney Grievance Commission
Attorney Valerie R. White of Hillsdale has been appointed to the Attorney Grievance Commission by the Michigan Supreme Court, the Court announced Wednesday.
White is an assistant prosecuting attorney in Branch County. From February 1996 to Dec. 31, 2012, she was a prosecutor in Hillsdale County.
White succeeds Martha M. Snow of Northville Township, formerly an attorney in private practice, who was appointed by Governor Rick Snyder to the Wayne County Circuit Court in December.
White's term ends Oct. 1, 2015.
The AGC, which was established in 1978 by order of the Michigan Supreme Court, investigates and prosecutes attorney misconduct cases. The nine members of the AGC serve on a voluntary basis. The AGC also employs a staff that includes attorneys and investigators. For additional information about the AGC, visit http://www.agcmi.com/.
