Obituary

Monte M. Korn, 93, of West Bloomfield, died on Saturday, Feb. 23.

Korn was an attorney practicing law in West Bloomfield. He was a member of the State Bar of Michigan since 1942, and a member of the Probate and Elder Law Sections of the State Bar.

Korn was the talk show host of "Open Line with Monte Korn" on radio station WNZK am690. He was also a contributing columnist for the Legal News under his column "Law, Money, and Elder Law."

Korn was a beloved husband of 64 wonderful years of Eleanor Karbal Korn. Cherished father of Larry (Marge Clarke) Korn, Linee Diem, Dr. Howard (Lynne) Brooks-Korn, Stephen Korn, Joanne (Dr. Michael) Rowe, Rabbi Richard (Shuli) Korn and Nancy Korn Zelch. Loving grandfather of Jeff Diem, Melissa Rowe, Jeremy Rowe, Sholom (Tova) Korn, Yisroel Korn, Sarah Korn, Yakov Korn, Rochel Korn, Brittany Zelch, Jared Zelch and Jordan Zelch, Amy Diem, Shira Diem and Rena Diem. Proud great grandfather of Ephraim Korn and Chaya Korn. Also survived and appreciated by Lizzie Willams. Brother of Phyllis Zatzick, the late Dr. Robert (the late Annette) Korn and the late Beulah (the late David) Moss. Brother-in-law of Beverly (the late Leonard) Mitz and the late Arlene Mehler Levenson (the late Morton Mehler and the late Albert Levenson).

The funeral was held at Ira Kaufman Chapel on Tuesday, Feb 26 .
