Seminar looks at personal devices in the workplace

On Wednesday, Sept. 18, IT that Works (ITTW) and Ossian Law are partnering together to present a free Lunch & Learn Seminar on the topic "Bring Your Own Device (BYOD): How Personal Devices Put Your Organization at Risk." Kathy Ossian, CEO and founder of Ossian Law PC, and Bob Breitman, president of IT that Works-Midwest, will discuss privacy, security, data retrieval, and how an organization can protect itself with workable policies, procedures, and technology solutions when employees use mobile devices. Ossian is founder and CEO of Ossian Law PC, a firm focused exclusively on Information Technology Law. She has almost 30 years of legal experience and more than 16 years of Information Technology law expertise. A long time Best Lawyer in America and Michigan Super Lawyer in information technology law, Ossian is a frequent author and speaker on the information technology law topics of the day. Breitman is president of ITTW-Midwest, an information technology services company. He has more than thirty-five years of business management and IT experience, including being the CIO of a $3.5 billion company where he was paid to be paranoid. Breitman is regularly asked to speak nationally on IT issues and cloud computing. He is the Cloud Track instructor for SPC International's Business Boot Camps. The BYOD Lunch & Learn Seminar will be conducted at 30150 Telegraph Road, Suite 360, in Bingham Farms from 11:15 a.m. to 1 p.m. Presentations will conclude at 12:45 p.m. followed by a 15 minute Q & A session and networking.
