Judge provides update on court's progress

Michigan Court of Appeals Judge Michael Talbot (center) was the guest speaker at the Polish American Legal Society (PALS) general meeting on Wednesday, Nov. 13, at the Polish Village Cafe in Hamtramck.

Happy to welcome Talbot to the meeting were (left to right) Craig Schoener, PALS Vice President William Jurczak, retired Judge Richard Wygonik, Thaddeus Kedzierski, Ryan Hill, PALS President Anna Witkowska, Wayne County Circuit Court Judge James Chylinski, and Michael Dean.

“I’m being asked to talk about the work that I’m doing as the special judicial administrator at the 36th District Court,” Talbot said.

“The Michigan Supreme Court took superintendent control over that court at the end of May this year.  So I think (PALS) would like an update as to what we’re trying to do down there and I hope to reassure them that we’re making progress.”
