Olivia Millerschin, an “America’s Got Talent†finalist, was among the musicians who contributed to the ceremony.
After the swearing in, the board honored the musicians who took part in the ceremony. Olivia Millerschin (center) received a proclamation from (left to right) Commissioner Robert Gosselin and Vice Chairman Jeff Matis.
The Gentlemen Songsters Chorus was honored by the board for its musical contribution to the ceremony and in recognition of its 75th anniversary. Happy to present the proclamation were Vice Chairman Jeff Matis (front row, far left), Chairman Michael J. Gingell (front row, third from left), and Commissioner David Woodward (front row, third from right).
Alexis Sargent (left), the National Association of Music Educators National Honor Choir awardee, was honored to receive a proclamation from Board Chairman Michael J. Gingell in recognition of her national award.
Also after the ceremony, DeMarco Wilson (left) was presented with a proclamation for his achievement and upcoming commitment to join the military service. Board Chairman Michael J. Gingell was happy to honor Wilson who scored double on his ASVAB military test.
On Wednesday, Jan. 14, the Oakland County Board of Commissioners hosted a swearing-in ceremony in the Commissioners Auditorium in Pontiac.
