The Oakland County Bar Association conducted its Annual Meeting on Thursday, June 4, at Shenandoah Country Club in West Bloomfield. David Carl Anderson was sworn in as the new president of the Oakland County Bar Association, accepting congratulations from outgoing president Tom Howlett during the OCBA Annual Meeting on June 4 at Shenandoah Country Club in West Bloomfield. Fittingly enough, the new OCBA president was administered the oath of office by his wife, Oakland County Circuit Court Judge Martha Anderson. A solo practitioner, Anderson is a graduate of Adrian College and the former Detroit College of Law, and was the 2010 recipient of the Distinguished Service Award from the OCBA. In remarks at the Annual Meeting, Howlett said his successor is the “personification of collegiality” and is “someone of great judgment and practical thinking,” who is “deeply committed to preserving the health and future of our organization.”
