DiNardo to seek election to Oakland County Board of Commissioners

Michelle DiNardo announced Monday she is seeking election to the position of Commissioner (District 13) to serve on the Oakland County Board of Commissioners. District 13 includes West Bloomfield Township, Bloomfield Township, and the City of Farmington Hills.

In making the announcement, DiNardo said “I became interested in being elected to this position in  the early ‘90s when I befriended David Moffitt, a Republican who was elected 10 times to serve in this same position (District 13 Commissioner).  The District has had an older liberal Democrat in this office since 2004 and one who is out of touch with the issues facing working families in my District. My goal is to get this important elected position back into the hands of someone like me, a younger citizen who stands for lower taxes, less government and personal accountability.”

DiNardo is a longtime political activist in the area having worked on multiple local campaigns.  She is a graduate of Indiana University where she earned a B.S. in Financial Administration in Public and Environmental Affairs. For over two decades, she has been employed as a compliance and operations administrator with the same registered investment advisory (RIA) firm.
Added DiNardo, “My education and my  extensive knowledge about investing and financial matters—as well as running a business—will help me to best serve Oakland County and its taxpayers.  I am eager to tell my story to the voters and get the next generation of leader into this elected position.”

DiNardo will appear on the August 2 primary election ballot.
