Bodman PLC attorney Michael R. Colasanti has been unanimously elected to the Michigan State University College of Law Alumni Association Board of Directors for a three-year term.

The MSU Alumni Association board leads and takes part in Alumni Association activities to grow and nurture alumni relationships, provide networking opportunities, and give support to student organizations. Alumni who wish to make a positive impact on the College of Law after graduation are invited to serve on the Alumni Association board. Board members assist with alumni programs and promote the College of Law by harnessing the influence, expertise, and resources of other MSU alumni.

Colasanti graduated from Michigan State University College of Law in 2012, joining Bodman shortly thereafter. He is a member of the firm's Litigation and Alternative Dispute Resolution and Insurance practice groups. In his practice, he represents clients involved in complex commercial litigation matters. Colasanti is listed as a "Rising Star" in Michigan Super Lawyers 2015.

Gabriel J. Edelson, a partner at Honigman, Miller, Schwartz, and Cohn LLP, has been elected to the board of directors of the Founders Junior Council of the Detroit Institute of Arts. The FJC is a group of young professionals dedicated to introducing young adults to the DIA and encouraging a lifelong involvement through a variety of fundraisers and social events organized around the museum's world-class collection and special exhibitions.

Edelson is a member of Honigman's Corporate Department and is located in the firm's Detroit office. He focuses his practice on mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, corporate governance, restructuring and general corporate matters.

Edelson advises privately and publicly held companies, private equity firms and their portfolio companies, financial services companies and financial advisory firms.

He earned a law degree from New York University School of Law and a B.A. from the University of Michigan.
