PHOTO #1: A judicial candidate forum featuring the August primary candidates for Oakland County 51st District Court was conducted Tuesday, July 12, at the Waterford Township Hall. Taking part in the forum were candidates (left to right) Todd A. Fox and Mary M. Mara. Candidate Andrea N. Dean was unable to participate in the forum. The forum is the result of a partnership—now in its sixth judicial cycle—among the Oakland County Bar Association (OCBA), the League of Women Voters-Oakland Area, and the Detroit Free Press that aims to sponsor judicial candidate forums in all contested judicial races in Oakland County.

PHOTO #2: Helping to run the forum were (seated, left to right) Karen Safran of Carson Fischer PLC and Detroit Free Press columnist Brian Dickerson; along with (standing, left to right) Mike Schloff of Michael D. Schloff PLLC; retired Judge Bill Richards; OCBA President David Anderson of Collins, Einhorn, Farrell PC; and Jerry Burden of the League of Women Voters-Oakland Area.  The forum was open to the public and was video recorded so that it may be aired on local cable channels. As soon as the recording is available, it is loaded on the OCBA’ YouTube page at http://bit.ly/OCBAYouTube.  Additionally, all candidates have been asked to complete a Judicial Candidate Questionnaire. The completed questionnaires are available on the OCBA website at www.ocba.org/judicial-candidate-forum/.
