Team advances

Wayne State University Law School competed in the 2017 Jeffrey G. Miller National Environmental Law Moot Court Competition, winning two of three preliminary round arguments and advancing to the quarterfinals. The team is comprised of (left to right) third-year students Kyle Hampton Bredell and Sabra Bushey, and second-year student Erin Mette. The team is coached by Assistant (Clinical) Professor Nick Schroeck (not pictured) who is the director of Wayne Law’s Transnational Environmental Law Clinic.  Bredell and Bushey were both selected as “best oralist” in two of the arguments.  The competition was Thursday, Feb. 23, through Saturday, Feb. 25, at Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University in White Plains, New York. Sixty-three teams competed and more than 300 people participated.
