'Lessons from a Diversity Doer'

The D. Augustus Straker Bar Association hosted its annual Corporate Counsel Breakfast on Thursday, April 26, at the Skyline Club in Southfield. This year’s theme was “Lessons from a Diversity Doer” and featured a keynote address by Donald Prophete (fourth from left), managing partner of Constangy, Brook, Smith, and Prophete LLP. Happy to welcome Prophete to the event were (left to right) Angelique Strong Marks of Mahle Industries Inc., Marcia Goffney of Shared Vision Associates, Straker President Vassal Johnson II of Law Offices of Vassal N. Johnson II PLLC, Jason Webber of General Motors, Sherrie Farrell of Dykema Gossett PLLC, Straker Immediate Past President Kymberly Kinchen of Schiff Hardin LLP, and Straker President-Elect Tiffany Buckley-Norwood of Jackson Lewis PC. The breakfast also included round table discussions on how to work together to actually achieve the diversity goal led by committed senior in-house counsel and law firm partners.
