Law school's annual charity event to benefit literacy program

Beyond Basics is a child-centered, literacy-focused nonprofit organization that provides one-on-one reading, tutoring and literacy enrichment programs for K-12 students to achieve grade level movement in six to twelve weeks. Funds raised during the event will be used for literacy programs at Walt Whitman Elementary School in Pontiac.

This year’s event will include live entertainment and a silent auction.

Entertainers include:
  • Comedian Keith Ruff.
  • Music by acoustic duo Sweet Season, featuring Christina Reese and John Randall.
  • Additional music performance by Katie Stanley.

Tickets are $20 per person. Sponsorships are also available at $500 for a gold sponsorship, $250 for silver, and $100 to be a patron sponsor. Sponsorships also include tickets to the event.
