Ann Arbor law firm celebrates 20 years

 The law firm of Nichols, Sacks, Slank, Sendelbach & Buiteweg, headquartered in Ann Arbor, celebrates its 20th anniversary this year. The firm serves Washtenaw, Livingston, Lenawee, Oakland, Macomb and Wayne counties, and opened an office in downtown Birmingham in October 2013.

The firm’s seven attorneys, with more than 152 years of combined practice experience, have held leadership positions with the State Bar of Michigan, American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, Collaborative Practice Institute of Michigan, Michigan Family Mediation Council, Women Lawyers Association of Michigan, and the Washtenaw County Bar Association.
Lori Buiteweg is president-elect of the State Bar of Michigan, and Margo Nichols is one of Michigan Lawyers Weekly’s distinguished “Women in the Law” for 2014. All of the partners—Margo Nichols, Monika Sacks, Eileen Slank, Karen Sendelbach and Lori Buiteweg—are AV rated in Martindale-Hubbell.
The scope of issues handled by the firm includes divorce, divorce mediation, custody and support, parenting coordination, property settlements, prenuptial agreements, estate planning, elder mediation, and collaborative practice.
