West joins Pear Sperling Eggan & Daniels
Joseph M. West has joined Pear Sperling Eggan & Daniels, P.C., and will be based in PSED Law's Ann Arbor office at 24 Frank Lloyd Wright Drive, Ann Arbor.
Currently in his ninth year of practice, West named to Michigan Super lawyers "Rising Stars" each year since 2009 specializes in commercial litigation at both the trial and appellate levels, business law, and a broad range of issues relating to real property.
A native of South Lyon, West graduated summa cum laude with an A.B.A. in Business Administration from Oakland Community College in Farmington Hills. Transferring to Wayne State University on a full academic scholarship, he graduated summa cum laude with a B.A. in psychology.
He earned his J.D. in 2006 from Wayne State University Law School where he was a Senior Articles Editor for the Wayne Law Review and published two legal articles while pursuing his studies. He graduated first in his class, summa cum laude, and was admitted to the Order of the Coif.
Following law school, West completed a judicial clerkship to the Honorable Ronald L. Gilman of the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit in Memphis, Tenn.
Returning to Ann Arbor, he spent three years working for a Midwest-based law firm with more than 350 attorneys before founding the Law Office of Joseph M. West, P.C., and running a solo practice for over five years.
A member of the Michigan Bar Association and Washtenaw County Bar Association, West has served as an Adjunct Professor of Law at Wayne Law, teaching Product Liability Law to upper-level students.
