Residence: Ann Arbor. What would surprise people about your job? I have helped more than 50 immigrants obtain legal status in the United States. What does this recent honor by the LGBT Bar Association mean to you? I was honestly humbled to be in the same room with many of the attorneys, including those who took time to nominate me. Favorite local hangouts: Aut Bar, Sweetwater's. Favorite App: This American Life. What are you currently reading? Olive Kitteridge. What are you better at than everyone else you know? Binge-reading What is one thing you would like to learn to do? Conduct an orchestra. What is your most typical mood? Focused. Who is on your guest list for the ideal dinner party? Franz Liszt, Sergei Rachmaninoff, Charles Dickens, Marcel Proust, Nick Gableâ?¦ There are too many to name. Words of advice for aspiring attorneys: Take time to prank your colleagues-at an ideal dinner party. If you could trade places with someone for a day, who would that be? My 8-year old. Three things you can't live without: Cell phone swipe technology, bananas (muscle spasms are no joke), Zyrtec. If you could choose to do anything for a day, what would it be? Watch musicals on Broadway. What is one thing you would like to learn to do? I would like to be a better guitarist. What is something most people don't know about you? I once scored 21 points (all 3-pointers) in a basketball game freshman year of high school. In the very next game, I tore my ACL, which effectively ended my basketball career. What is the best advice you ever received? There's a time and a place for everything. If you can help it, where will you never return? 8 a.m. law school classes.
