WCBA's 'Roadshow' visits Ypsilanti with help of Cooley law students

The WCBA's Public Service Committee sponsored one of its ongoing "Lawyer's Roadshow" events on Friday, Oct. 30 with volunteer attorneys providing half-hour free consultations for area residents. The event was held at the 14A-2 District Court in downtown Ypsilanti.

Sixty residents had signed up to see an attorney. There were a number of walk-in participants as well, organizers said. New this year was the participation of a number of Cooley Ann Arbor law students who helped with reception duties. Also, they shadowed the attorneys as they met with participants.

Attorneys that volunteered included: Elizabeth Wharton, Delphia Simpson, Veronique Liem, Douglas Coskey, Joelle Gurnoe, Keith Smillie, Angela Walker, Gregory Dodd, Lorray Brown, Sheryl Manning, Francie Novar, Andrew Muth, Jeffrey Pintar, Mary Comazzi, Elizabeth Kitchen-Troop, Achla Karnani, and Dave Hutchinson.
