Resident reappointed to committee

Joan M. Doughty of Ann Arbor, executive director of the Community Action Network, has been reappointed to represent nonprofit organizations for a term expiring March 15, 2012 on the state's Committee on Juvenile Justice.

The committee was organized in 1974 as an independent, state-level body to provide leadership and policy direction for administration of the Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Act in Michigan.

The committee advises the Department of Human Services and the governor on matters relating to the juvenile justice system in this state and participates in the development and review of the federally required Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Plan.

These reappointments are not subject to disapproval by the Michigan Senate.
