IPRS' Burgette helps beautify courthouse flower boxes

Editor's Note: The following was recently distributed by Judge Timothy Connors.

"Our special thanks to Pat Burgette, Southeastern Michigan chair of the Irish Perennial Rescue Society, and the Washtenaw County Bar Association for their recent work on the downtown courthouse flower beds.

"Pat was recently awarded the coveted 'Humane Transplant Technique Award' from the Midwest Chapter of the IPRS.

"He will be receiving his award this weekend at the Regional Conference in Gary, Indiana.

"If you get a chance, please give Pat a personal salute before his Greyhound Bus trip (courtesy of the Society) to Gary.

"Pat informs us he has an additional two complimentary tickets for the bus ride if anyone is interested (first come, first served says Pat).

"The bus leaves from the Ann Arbor station at 6 a.m. and returns Saturday night at 11:48 p.m.

"Lunch is not included."
