Firm adds associate from LADA

Moran, Raimi, Goethel, and Karnani PC has announced that Shalini Nangia has joined the firm as an associate.

For the last 12 years, she was a staff attorney at the Legal Aid and Defender Association, Inc. (LADA) concentrating her practice in family law and supervising students at the Wayne State University's Free Legal Aid Clinic.

Before that, Nangia was in private practice handling general litigation, criminal cases and serving as a court-appointed guardian ad litem.

She has completed the 40-hour family law mediation training and has presented at attorney training programs on trial advocacy skills and the impact of SSI/SSD benefits on child and spousal support.

Nangia is past president of the Asian American Bar Association of Michigan, and has been published in the Wayne Law Review.

She received her law degree from the Moritz College of Law at Ohio State University, and is licensed to practice in both Michigan and Florida.
