The Detroit Metropolitan Bar Association’s “Drink’n’Learn” series kicked off Feb. 17 at Foran’s Grand Trunk in Detroit.
Judge Stephen Murphy III was the inaugural expert for the DMBA’s new “Drink ‘n’ Learn” series, designed to combine expert advice and observations with relaxed networking opportunities. Judge Murphy, who has served on the bench of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan since 2008, is also a former U.S. Attorney, Department of Justice litigator, and member of the General Motors Legal Staff.
Drawing on his myriad experiences and observations, Judge Murphy shared stories of adventures and misadventures in the law. Afterward, there was ample opportunity for questions, comments, and camaraderie.
