Grand Rapids Bar Association releases video celebrating 110 years of service

The Grand Rapids Bar Association (GRBA) has released a video about its 110 years of services to the legal community.

A bit of history and reminiscence acts as prelude to an overview of current services and what people are saying about them.

Current GRBA President Mark Smith of Rhoades McKee narrates, and the video includes comments from: former Mayor John Logie of Warner Norcross and Judd; Judge Sara Smolenski, 63rd District Court; Raj Malviya and Matt Vicari of Miller Johnson; Stephen Drew and Amanda Narvaes of Drew, Cooper and Anding; Tracey Brame of Thomas M. Cooley Law School; Bruce Neckers of Rhoades McKee, and Jim Oppenhuizen of Keller and Almassian, along with some recent Lip Sync footage including the Spice Girls featuring Oppenhuizen as David Beckham.

The video talks about the Justice Foundation, Legal Aid and the Legal Assistance Center, section meetings, and some discussion of the central role played by the former law library.
