The Federal Bar Association, Eastern District of Michigan Chapter, hosted the 2012 Leonard R. Gilman Award Luncheon on Wednesday, May 9, at the Westin Book Cadillac in Detroit.
Former U.S. Attorney General Michael Mukasey was the keynote speaker for the event.
Attorney Margaret Sind Raben of Gurewitz & Raben PLC was this year’s Leonard R. Gilman Award recipient.
The Gilman Award is given annually to an outstanding practitioner of criminal law who exemplifies the excellence, professionalism, and commitment to public service of Len Gilman who was U.S. attorney at the time of his death in 1985.
The selection is made by prior recipients of the award, many of whom served with and knew Gilman.
