The Women Lawyers Association of Michigan Foundation (WLAMF) hosted its 2014 Reception for Education and Community Leadership on Wednesday, March 26, at the Local Kitchen & Bar in Ferndale.
During the reception, WLAMF President Dawn Van Hoek was honored for her years of work for the Foundation and in the community.
WLAMF Treasurer Paula Talarico of Talarico & Associates PC was happy to congratulate Van Hoek on her recognition. “Dawn Van Hoek has led us for many years. . .We started out giving $500 scholarships and now we’re up to $3,000 so we’re very excited,” Talarico said.
Ten students were awarded scholarships that evening.
