Virtual Bench-Bar Conference draws 94 participants

Because of the coronavirus pandemic, this year the Washtenaw County Bar Association held its Annual Bench-Bar Conference on August 7 via Zoom.

The virtual event drew 94 participants who heard about local court updates.

The format was approximately 60 minutes hearing from local bench and court administrators and 30 minutes Q&A between the bench and WCBA members. 

Speakers included Hon. Carol A. Kuhnke-Chief Judge, and Megan Ivey- Administrator, Washtenaw County Trial Court; Hon. Joseph F. Burke-Chief Judge, and Shryl Samborn- Administrator, 15th District Court; Hon. Carol A. Kuhnke-Chief Judge and Lisa Fusik- Administrator, 14A District Courts; and Hon. Charles J. Pope-Chief Judge and Mag. Mark Nelson- Administrator, 14B District Court.

“It was very informative and went extremely well,” said WCBA Executive Director Kyeena Slater.
