NALS of Detroit to hold  After Hours meeting
NALS of Detroit will host guest speaker Sara Schimke of Barron, Rosenberg, Mayoras, & Mayoras PC at its CLE After Hours meeting on the topic of “Elder Law” on Monday, Jan. 10, beginning at 6 p.m. at the offices of Miller, Canfield, Paddock, & Stone in Detroit. The cost for NALS members is $13 and $15 for non-NALS members. Advanced registration is required and must be received with payment by noon on Thursday, Jan. 6. On Friday, January 14, from 9 a.m to 3:30 p.m, the Michigan Association for Justice will conduct a Worker’s Compensation seminar at the Baronette Renaissance hotel in Novi.

Program for International Legal Studies Speaker Series
The Winter/Spring 2011 Speaker Series: “The independence of Kosovo and self-determination in international law” with Brad Roth, associate professor at Wayne Law and in WSU’s Department of Political Science. The event will take place in the Law School’s Spencer M. Partrich Auditorium at 12:15-1:30 p.m. on the dates noted above. They are free and open to the public and lunch will be served. Parking is available for $4.75 in WSU Structure #1 across from the Law School on West Palmer Street in Detroit.
