Baskin’s ‘Due Process’ returns to Detroit Public Television Feb. 4
“Due Process,” Metro Detroit’s longest running public affairs television show, is returning to Detroit Public Television (WTVS-TV Channel 56) with new episodes beginning Friday February 4, 2011.

Hosted by Henry Baskin of The Baskin Law Firm in Birmingham, “Due Process” features discussion of legal topics of interest to Southeast Michigan.  The show airs each Friday at 5:30 p.m. on Detroit Public Television.

New episodes include:
February 4, 2011 – “Bankruptcy – Is It The Best Option?”
February 11, 2011 – “Michigan Medical Marijuana Act – A Hazy New Law”
February 18, 2011 – “Foreclosures – Saving Your House”

Jaffe partner is featured speaker at employment law seminar
Thomas H. Williams, a partner with Southfield-based Jaffe Raitt Heuer & Weiss, P.C., was the featured speaker at the Fifth Annual “Beyond the Basics in Employment Law” seminar.

The seminar took place Jan. 25 at the Doubletree Hotel in Detroit. A complete list of topics discussed pertaining to employment law includes FMLA and ADA, sexual, racial and other types of workplace harassment and changes enacted by the health care reform legislation.

Williams is a member of the firm’s employment and labor group, specializing in wrongful discharge, equal employment opportunity, labor-management relations and other related employment and labor law issues. He is a member of the State Bar of Michigan, the American Bar Association and the Industrial Relations Research Association. He graduated with honors from Oakland University – Rochester, and received his Juris Doctor from Detroit College of Law. He also received his M.I.L.R from Michigan State University and his LL.M from Wayne State University.
