Dickinson Wright combines with firm, expands in Phoenix
Dickinson Wright PLLC, with offices in Michigan, Arizona, Nevada, Ohio, Tennessee, Washington, D.C., and Toronto, Ontario and Mariscal, Weeks, McIntyre & Friedlander, P.A., based in Phoenix, announced today the combination of their law practices. In Arizona the combined firm will operate under the name Dickinson Wright/Mariscal Weeks. The combination was effective Jan.

WBA membership meeting set for Jan. 8
The Wolverine Bar Association will be holding a general membership meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 8. Membership meetings are held on the second Tuesday of most months beginning in October. All meetings are held at 6 p.m. at the Damon J. Keith Center for Civil Rights at Wayne State University Law School, 471 W. Palmer, in Detroit. Attorney George Allen Hilborn passes at 77
On Dec. 20, 2012, George Allen Hilborn of Birmingham, Mich., passed away. He was 77. Hilborn was the regional manager for in-house counsel at Michigan Mutual Liability; a staff attorney in the product liability section of Ford Motor Company’s Office of General Counsel; and in private practice since 1981, including the last nineteen years as a partner at Hilborn & Hilborn, P.C.
He was a member of the Michigan State Bar; Oakland County Bar Association; the Michigan Association for Justice; and the American Association for Justice. A memorial was held on Jan. 6, 2013, from 2-5 p.m. at A.J. Desmond Funeral Home, 32515 Woodward Avenue in Royal Oak. A funeral will be held today at First United Methodist Church, 1589 West Maple Road in Birmingham from 10:30-11:30 a.m.
