Cooley Law hosts summer pre-law program for disadvantaged students

On May 29, 19 college students from 13 colleges and universities in five states and the country of Lebanon began a month long journey studying the critical thinking skills necessary to succeed on the Law School Admission Test (LSAT) and in law school. The students are participating in the nationally recognized College Pre-Law Summer Institute (CPSI) at Cooley Law School’s Auburn Hills campus. CPSI is being held at Cooley for the fourth year in partnership with Oakland University and the American Bar Association’s Council of Legal Education Opportunity.  The program provides historically underrepresented, low-income or otherwise disadvantaged college students 100 hours of legal academic instruction, LSAT preparation and skills development. Students were welcomed during ceremony hosted and presented by the State Bar of Michigan Young Lawyers Section (SBMYLS).
