Under Analysis: Billy the Lawyer....

Charles Kramer, The Levison Group

Billy the lawyer ,
Bubbling with pride
ran to the courthouse
a case to be tried.

But when he arrived
A guard blocked the door
The courthouse was closed
He was confused and quite floored

He checked his case schedule
And his smartphone too
And realized his error
But knew not what to do
It was a state holiday
Said the guard at the door
But the worse news was the case
Had been the week before!

He hung down his head
And wandered away
Trying to figure out
What  he would say

Then he checked the court website
To see how bad it had gone
But when he looked up the case
Nothing was wrong!!

The plaintiff’s fine counsel
Had also no-showed
So the judge rolled it over
Saving Bill’s soul

Billy was so happy
He literally cried
For in this one instance
Justice delayed
Was justice applied.
