 Two Dickinson Wright attorneys elected to MDTC leadership roles

During the Michigan Defense Trial Counsel’s annual meeting, Dickinson Wright attorneys D. Lee Khachaturian and Richard Paul were elected vice president and secretary, respectively.

Khachaturian has been involved in the leadership of MDTC for years, most recently serving as its treasurer and editor of the Quarterly.  She is a member in the firm’s Detroit office. She is an active member of DRI’s Commercial Litigation Committee and sits on its steering committee. She is recognized as a leader in her field by Michigan Super Lawyers and Best Lawyers in America. Khachaturian received her B.B.A. from the University of Michigan and her J.D. from Wayne State University Law School.
 
 Paul has served as chair of the MDTC Commercial Litigation Section, chair of the 2013 MDTC Annual Meeting, and was the 2013 recipient of the MDTC President’s Special Recognition Award. He is a member in the firm’s Troy office. His representations include serving as trial counsel for various manufacturers and accounting firms and serving as National Discovery Counsel for Ford Motor Company. He is a member of the State Bar of Michigan, the American Bar Association, the Oakland County Bar Association, the Detroit Metropolitan Bar Association, the Federal Bar Association, and the Defense Research Institute. He is recognized as a leader in his field by Michigan Super Lawyers and DBusiness’ Top Lawyers. Paul received his A.B. from Dartmouth College and his J.D. from Boston College Law School.
 

ISIAL 36th Annual Scholarship Award  Dinner set for May 30

The Incorporated Society of Irish American Lawyers will host its 36th Annual Scholarship Award Dinner Honoring Thomas Tiger  Thornton Award. The event will be held on Friday, May 30, beginning at 6 p.m. at The Inn at St John’s at 44045 5 Mile Rd in Plymouth. Cocktails and hors d’oeuvres will be followed by dinner, award presentations and Irish music. Cost is $95 per person.
