PBJ and Wine
Butzel Long PC hosted a “PBJ & Wine” fund-raiser on Thursday, June 26, at Gleaners Community Food Bank in Detroit. In addition to unique peanut butter and jelly themed appetizers created by the Capuchin Soup Kitchen’s executive chef, there was wine, live music, and a silent auction. Happy to support the Gleaners Hunger Free Summer campaign were (l-r) Haley Jonna, Beth Gotthelf, James Wynne, Debra Geroux, Ivonne Soler, and Angela Emmerling Boufford. The event was also part of the Butzel Long celebration of its 160th anniversary. “We wanted to celebrate by giving back to the community that has supported us for 160 years and we chose Gleaners to partner with for that,” said Boufford, chair of Butzel Long Women’s Leadership Committee. “Tonight’s event is 100 percent underwritten by Butzel Long. Every penny that comes in not only goes to Gleaners but is matched by their summer hunger foundation.” Earlier in the year, the Butzel Long Women’s Leadership Committee collected 160 jars of peanut butter and jelly from firm employees to donate to Gleaners in recognition of its 160 years.
