Attorney helps compile publication on the corporate practice of medicine
Dickinson Wright this week announced the significant leadership role that member Rose Willis had in the compilation of the first edition of "Corporate Practice of Medicine: A Fifty State Survey," a book published by the American Health Lawyers Association.
"Corporate Practice of Medicine: A Fifty State Survey" examines a state-by-state roadmap of the complexities and uneven manner of the corporate practice of medicine. Readers will learn about a multitude of different models for the corporate practice of medicine, contract disputes, fee splitting and the unlicensed practice of medicine, states that have statutes governing licensure requirements for affiliated health care professionals such as dentists, chiropractors, and optometrists, and much more.
This book is for readers who represent any type of health care entity or organization, business, physicians, or even investors looking for business opportunities in this complex regulatory sector. Each state's doctrine provides a thorough exploration of the doctrine in that state (including the District of Columbia).
Willis, a member in the firm's Troy office, served as a team leader and peer reviewer for "Corporate Practice of Medicine: A Fifty State Survey." Her practice focuses on healthcare regulatory, transactional and corporate law in her representation of healthcare providers and suppliers and other current or prospective participants in the healthcare industry. Willis is recognized as a leader in her field by Michigan Super Lawyers and she is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association, the American Bar Association, the State Bar of Michigan, and the Health Care Compliance Association.
