What to Do When Stopped by the Police

The Michigan Children's Law Center sponsored a presentation on "What To Do When Stopped by the Police" for the students at Loyola High School on Monday, June 6. The program was the eighth of its kind organized, planned and facilitated by MCLC Attorney Robyn L. McCoy. Michigan Court of Appeals Judge Michael Riordan gave opening remarks, expressing the importance of the youth learning how to engage properly with the police. Attorney McCoy remarked on the importance of the youth gaining the knowledge necessary to ensure that they get home safely to their family and friends. The panelists for the event were Detroit Brian Fountain, Criminal Defense Attorney Todd Perkins, Judge David Perkins, Thirty-Six District Court and Deputy Chief Brian Morrow, Wayne County Prosecutor's Office.
