Law students help renovate vet's home

Federal Student Bar Association members from WMU-Cooley Law School's Grand Rapids campus recently volunteered to help remodel a local Vietnam veteran's home. Students Cody Brooks, Donette Williams, and Jada Manggrum were part of a crew that worked on the Grand Rapids Northeast area home through a program sponsored by Habitat for Humanity and Home Depot, which helps local veterans in need of home renovations.

"The day was a truly gratifying experience," said Manggrum. "We are honored to have had the opportunity to work with Habitat for Humanity and Home Depot to help make this veteran's home a safer place to live."
