On May 10 the portrait of retired Wayne County Circuit Judge William J. Giovan was dedicated for display in the courtroom of Circuit Judge David J. Allen. Having retired as chief judge of the court in 2008, Giovan had served 33 years on the Circuit Court, with prior service on both the Common Pleas Court of Detroit and the Recorders Court of Detroit, from as early as 1966.
