• The Detroit Bar Association 2019 Inn of Court   
February 19   
    Join members of the Detroit Bar Association for its 2019 Inn of Court program Tuesday, February 19, 5:30 p.m. at Miller Canfield, 25th Floor Board Room, 150 W. Jefferson Ave. in Detroit. The cost is $75 for Master, $50 for Associate/Barrister, and $25 for law clerk. Judges attend free. Additional meetings will be held March 18, April 15 and May 20 (third Monday of the month) at Miller Canfield.    
    The season ends with a party in June.

• Women Lawyers Association of Michigan-Wayne Winter Wine Down   
February 21   

    Join the Women Lawyers Association of Michigan-Wayne for the annual Winter Wine Down  from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, February 21 at Traffic Jam and Snug, 511 West Canfield St. in Detroit. The event will feature a brief talk by Michelle Crockett of Miller Canfield regarding professional development. Tickets can be purchased in advance at https://www.womenlawyers.org or at the door ($30 for members and $35 for future members) and include two beverages and appetizers.

• The Wayne Law Review presents ‘The Emerging Blockchain and the Law’   
February 22   

    The Wayne Law Review will host its annual symposium, this year on the topic of “The Emerging Blockchain and the Law.” The event is free and open to the public, and will be held from 8:15 a.m.-4:30 p.m. at Wayne State University Law School, Spencer M. Partrich Auditorium, 471 W. Palmer in Detroit.    
    Register at https://rsvp.wayne.edu/lawreview19. Registration includes breakfast, lunch, networking reception and cocktails. This symposium is made possible by funding from the Cohn Family Endowed Fund.
