Clients and friends of the firm joined the attorneys and patent agents from the Ann Arbor office of intellectual property law firm Brinks Gilson & Lione at its annual Links and Learn event on June 4th at TPC in Dearborn. Prior to golfing, participants heard Managing Partner Steve Oberholtzer speak about recent popular culture cases in IP law; shareholders Linda Nattler and Bob Fergan presented on design patents; shareholder Jim Cleland addressed patent pooling and defensive aggregation models in the new era of patents; and shareholder Mike Spink looked at patent trends among the top OEMs.
