The Michigan Association for Justice (MAJ) hosted its Annual Banquet on Saturday, May 11, at the Westin Book Cadillac in Detroit. During the evening, awards were presented. Wayne State University of Law School Prof. Robert Sedler (left) was honored with the MAJ Champion of Justice Award. Sedler is a distinguished professor at Wayne Law where he teaches courses in Constitutional Law. In April, Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel appointed Sedler a special assistant attorney general. He advises on matters related to constitutional law and civil rights law. Also during the banquet, Michigan Court of Appeals Judge Elizabeth Gleicher (right) was honored with the MAJ Judicial Excellence Award. Gleicher was appointed to the Court of Appeals in 2007. Previously, she was an attorney in private practice for twenty-seven years. She began her career at Goodman, Eden, Millender, & Bedrosian in Detroit, and opened her own litigation practice in 1994.
