Dawn Ison, the new U.S. Attorney for Eastern Michigan, was sworn in Tuesday by U.S. Chief Judge Denise Page Hood at the Theodore Levin U.S. Courthouse in downtown Detroit. Ison, the first Black woman to hold the position, is a longtime assistant U.S. Attorney in Detroit.
