 ‘Developing Trends in Bankruptcy’ focus of JBAM webinar

 

The Jewish Bar Association ot Michigan will present an online program on “Developing Trends in Bankruptcy” Monday, January 31, from 5 to 6 p.m. via Zoom.
 
The online program will feature retired U.S. Bankruptcy Court Judge Ray Reynolds Graves, Eastern District of Michigan, along with Michael Kwiatkowski, Michelle McMahon, and Michael Traison of Cullen and Dykman LLP. They will discuss debt relief; business restructuring; COVID?updates; student loan forgiveness; Small Business Act of 2019; overview of the Federal Bankruptcy Code; and alternative remedies.

Firm conducting cybersecurity workshop Jan. 26

 
The law firm of McDonald Hopkins is partnering with Goodman Venegas Insurance Company to host a Cybersecurity Workshop covering the proper response to a cyber attack. The in-person program will take place Wednesday, January 26, from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Somerset Inn, 2601 W. Big Beaver Rd. in Troy.
 
 The workshop will take attendees through the legal and insurance angles of breach preparation and response. McDonald Hopkins Data Privacy and Cybersecurity attorney Kate Jarrett will be presenting on such topics as evaluation; response; legal implications; remedies; and prevention.

‘2022 Court Executive Team Conference’ offered online, Jan. 20

 
The Michigan Judicial Institute will host a full-day virtual conference for chief judges and court leaders.  The “2022 Court Executive Team Conference, Challenges, Change & Creativity: Navigating Court Leadership in the New Normal” will take place online Thursday, January 20, from 8:45 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. via Zoom.
 
The purpose of the conference is to provide educational opportunities that facilitate the exchange of ideas, strategies, and best practices among court executive teams as they continue to navigate the changes and challenges of leading a court organization. Sessions will be led by national and state experts on topics related to human resources; technology; court administration; leadership; diversity, equity and inclusion; budget and fiscal management; and more.
