Church joins Kreis Enderle
Elliott J. R. Church has joined the firm of Kreis, Enderle, Hudgins & Borsos, P. C. as an associate in the Grand Rapids office. Church earned a B.A. from Hope College and a B.S. from Grand Valley State University, and graduated Cum Laude from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in 2010. His practice is focused primarily on business transactions and technology law. Church is licensed to practice law in the State of Michigan and the United States District Court, Western District of Michigan.
Dykema: Magyar joins firm
Dykema has announced the addition of Mark J. Magyar to the firm’s Business and Commercial Litigation practice group as an Associate in the Grand Rapids office. Prior to joining Dykema, Magyar was an associate at Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP in Chicago.
Focusing his practice on litigation matters, Magyar received a B.A. from Western Michigan University, magna cum laude, where he was a member of the Carl and Winifred Lee Honors College and was awarded the Political Science Department Undergraduate Research Award. He received a J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School.
Smith Haughey announces new shareholders
The law firm of Smith Haughey Rice & Roegge has announced that three attorneys have been named shareholders of the firm:
—Tom Aycock practices in the areas of corporate insurance litigation, insurance coverage disputes, and personal civil litigation.
—Andrew Blodgett practices in the areas of insurance litigation, commercial litigation, and agriculture law. He also is co-chair of the firm’s Agribusiness Industry Team.
—Matt Wikander practices in the areas of employment, commercial, and personal injury matters including those involving catastrophic injuries and wrongful death cases.
Mika Meyers hires new members
James F. Scales and Matthew E. Fink have become members of Mika Meyers Beckett & Jones PLC. Scales practices in the areas of estate planning, municipal, real estate, construction and property tax. Fink practices in energy and natural resources, zoning and land use planning, municipal and real estate.
