Michigan Civil Rights Commission to meet in Detroit on May 19

 The Michigan Civil Rights Commission will host a regular public meeting on Monday, May 19 at 4 pm in Room L-150, Cadillac Place, 3054 W. Grand Boulevard in Detroit.


The Commission will hear reports from the Hispanic/Latino Commission of Michigan, the Michigan Asian Pacific American Affairs Commission, the Michigan Women’s Commission, the Michigan Council on Arab and Chaldean American Affairs, and the Advisory Council to the Division on Deaf and Hard of Hearing.

Commissioners also will be briefed on the Migrant and Seasonal Farm Worker Workgroup Program Update, a report highlighting the activities of the Interagency Migrant Services Committee and other agencies interacting with migrant and seasonal farmworkers in 2013.

Individuals who wish to address the Commission on civil rights issues will have an opportunity to speak during the public comment period at the end.

The meeting location is accessible and ample parking is available nearby at meters, in ramps and surface lots.
