The article, “For Law Day, elections expert tells NALS about challenges voters face” in the May 14, 2014, Grand Rapids Legal News said that members of the Michigan Election Coalition supported a number of measures to improve the election process. Of those listed, which actually reflected nationwide recommendations, a majority of MEC members support only two: online voter registration and no-excuse absentee voting.  Both of these reforms are also supported by the Presidential Commission mentioned in the article, the Michigan Secretary of State Ruth Johnson, and Chris Thomas, the Director of the Bureau of Elections.
