Douglas A. Dozeman re-elected managing partner of Warner Norcross


Douglas A. Dozeman has been re-elected to serve another two-year term as managing partner of Warner Norcross & Judd.

Dozeman will chair the firm's Management Committee and guide its strategic direction and continued growth. Warner Norcross is the largest law firm headquartered in West Michigan, with more than 220 attorneys in offices in Grand Rapids, Southfield, Midland, Macomb County, Muskegon, Holland, Kalamazoo and Lansing.

With more than 30 years of experience, Dozeman concentrates his practice in business litigation and represents businesses and individuals in complex civil litigation matters.  Dozeman has been recognized by Best Lawyers in America, Michigan Super Lawyers, Benchmark Litigation and Chambers USA.  He has also been elected a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and of the American Bar Association.

Michigan Lawyers Weekly named Dozeman its Lawyer of the Year in 2003. He has also been included in the Top 100 Michigan Super Lawyers list since 2007 and was named one of the top 50 Michigan Business Super Lawyers in 2015.

Dozeman serves as a board member for The Right Place and Hope Housing Commission. He was previously the board chair of the Grand Rapids Chamber of Commerce. He is a graduate of Leadership Grand Rapids.

During his tenure as managing partner, Warner Norcross broke ground on a new $72 million mixed-use development in Downtown Grand Rapids that will serve as the firm’s new headquarters. The firm has seen continued growth with the addition of 24 new attorneys and the creation of new practice groups, such as Emerging Media and Connected Devices. 

Dozeman received his J.D. from Wayne State University Law School magna cum laude and holds an undergraduate degree from Calvin College. A native of Zeeland, he currently resides in Grand Rapids with his wife, Kristine.
