DETROIT (AP) -- A Detroit man who spent more than a year on the run after switching identities at the Wayne County jail will be paying for it with more prison time. Eric Woodley was sentenced to 13 months in federal prison Monday, to be served after 14 years for a marijuana operation. After failing to report to prison in 2006, Woodley was arrested the next year at a Detroit dog fight. But before marshals could pick him up, he assumed the name of another jail inmate and walked out when bail was posted. Woodley was free until April 2008, when he was captured in Phoenix. Woodley's lawyer asked a judge to take it easy on him, saying he's a family man. But prosecutors noted that Woodley's kids weren't with him in Arizona. Published: Wed, Aug 1, 2012
