Commissioner sworn in as 1st vice chair of local Optimist organization
On Tuesday, Oct. 2, Oakland County Commissioner John A. Scott was sworn in as the 1st vice president of the Keego Harbor Optimist and will become the president of the organization on Oct. 13, 2013. He recently successfully completed his role as chairman of SEMCOG and is currently the immediate past chairman of SEMCOG.
"I am looking forward to devoting more time to the Keego Harbor Optimist Club and working closely with the current President Chevelle Bedra to increase the membership of the club. I will be working to do what optimist do which is 'Bringing out the best in our kids,'" stated Scott.
