The Macomb County Bar Association, as part of its Continuing Legal Education seminar series, recently presented an event focusing on “E-Discovery: Preservation, Pitfalls & Practice.” Featured presenters were (left to right) Nathan Cortright, Michael Simoni and Phillip Shane, all attorneys with Miller, Canfield, Paddock &?Stone PLC. Simoni said he and his colleagues hoped to share some “pointers on common issues that arise in e-discovery cases.” He said it was important to know when to preserve electronic records and to be aware of “some of the roadblocks and hurdles that attorneys may face along the way, how to avoid those and how to do that in a cost-effective manner.”
