Two new attorneys have joined the Lansing law firm of Fraser Trebilcock: Amy S. Wolanin and Emily M. Vanderlaan. The two worked at Fraser Trebilcock as law clerks while pursuing law degrees from the Michigan State University College of Law.
Before joining the firm, Wolanin was as an intern for the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of Michigan, where she attended oral arguments and observed a variety of criminal trials. She also conducted research on civil rights, domestic violence, the Fourth Amendment, and the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Her practice focuses on business and tax law, bankruptcy, family law, estate planning, litigation, and real estate law.
Vanderlaan was a finalist for various moot court competitions at MSU Law: the Weschler National First Amendment Moot Court Competition in Fall 2018), and Intraschool Moot court Competition in Spring 2018.
Before working with Fraser Trebilock, Vanderlaan was a legal extern for the Ingham County Prosecutor's Office where she litigated initial depositional hearings, review hearings, and preliminary motions for juvenile court cases.
Her practice focuses on appellate law, insurance law, intellectual property, litigation, and real estate law.
